Train farm team on assembling and producing high-quality thermophilic compost piles and identifying compost microorganisms using a compound microscope.

Paradise Fields, an organic polyculture farm, consulted with RootShoot to enhance organic farming practices. RootShoot conducted quantitative analyses of soil food web communities, focusing on nematode groups, to guide soil life restoration. The collaboration included:

  • Remote consultations on farm equipment for applying biological inoculants.

  • Training on thermophilic composting with on-farm ingredients.

  • Remote microscopy training to ensure the quality of inoculants.

This approach combines scientific analysis with practical training, promoting on-farm sustainability and the overall success of Paradise Fields.

  • The farm team needed to bridge the gap between soil health and applications of high-quality amendments such as compost extracts and teas.

  • • Introduced the identification of compost microorganisms using microscopy.

    • Assembled and produced multiple thermophilic compost piles containing diverse microbial communities.
