Honouring Elaine and Carrying the Work Forward - Part 2
I’m excited to share that RootShoot Soils is a collaborator on Bringing Life to Engineered Soils: A Microbial Approach, a Landscape Architecture Canada Foundation research grant led by PWL Partnership.
While current Canadian Landscape Standards largely assess soils using physical and chemical properties, this project aims to expand that framework by exploring how biological metrics could also be integrated into growing medium specifications.
RootShoot's role is to lead the biological analysis & treatment side of the research, helping evaluate how amendments and inoculation strategies can support more resilient soil communities in engineered growing media.
This project is now officially underway, with planting set to resume at the end of March.
